Finance
Plans and manages the Council’s overall budget with the President
Moderates Council expenses before they are voted on by the General Body
Oversees the rolling grant cycle for Council sponsorships of GSAS student events
Research
Promotes scholarly development and achievement for GSAS students
Manages an interdisciplinary research grant cycle open to all GSAS students each Fall and Spring semester
Organizes and hosts the Huskey Research Exhibition, an annual, multi-part event aimed at improving important skills for public scholarship
Graduate Education
Acts as a conduit between current students and long-term organizational and practical changes to doctoral programs
Gathers and synthesizes opinions from constituent GSAS students from various disciplines and backgrounds
Advocates for GSAS students at meetings with Graduate School administration and faculty
Social
Fosters community-building and networking opportunities for GSAS students
Hosts 3 main events, Welcome Week (Aug), Halloween Party (Oct), and Winter Formal (Feb) in cooperation with local businesses
Offers monthly smaller events associated with life and culture on Grounds
