Reporting Issues with Faculty and P.I.’s

 GSASC recommends that graduate students go to any option that is safest and in their best interest. Here are some recommendations of where to go to report issues with faculty members: 

• Departmental DGS or Chair

• GSAS Deans

• The Office of Post-Doctoral Affairs

• Report it @ UVA

• The Office of Ombuds

GSASC does not suggest going to HR as the first line of defense. As a reminder, when an issue is reported, moves may be happening behind the scenes that the reportee may not be made aware of. If a graduate student wants to understand where their case is going, they may need to reach back out.
