UJC Representative Vacancy – still searching for one representative

Pro Dev Co-Chair Nomination: Jennifer McDaniels - passed

GSAS Orientation – Tuesday, 8/18 - We still need volunteers for the luncheon. Fill out the online form if you’re interested.

Meeting with Chairs - meeting in coming month, specific date to come.

Recruitment – Encourage new grad students to come to our first big meeting of the year next month. Wolf pack forms will be issued.

Committee Updates:

·      Social Committee:

o   Possible social events for September & October

§  Tailgate for Syracuse football game

§  Back to school event with Engineering School at Wild Wing Café (or maybe beer tasting at Three Notch’d)

§  Halloween party at Es Café

§  Jump C’ville event

§  Coffee breaks during finals

o   PhD Movie Sequel update – Last year the event was expensive, but co-sponsored by Phil Trella. School of Engineering is also interested in co-sponsoring the event this year.

·      Vote to approve to Finance Policy - passed
