GSASC Mission

The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Council (GSASC) works with UVA administration to support graduate students. In this capacity, we respond to graduate student issues and are dedicated to improving graduate student life on Grounds.

GSASC seeks to facilitate interactions of graduate students across departments and schools, administer the GSAS activity fee, and represent the interests of graduate students at the University of Virginia.

General body meetings are typically held the first Monday of every month at 6 PM in the Newcomb Hall Gallery. All GSAS students are welcome to attend.

Our Council

Our Council is made up of executive members, committee representatives, outside organization representatives, and department representatives.

Our Partners

We work with organizations such as the Graduate Professional Committee, The University Judiciary Committee, Honor, The University Programs Council, and Student Council to best advocate and represent graduate students throughout all facets of the University.
