French Graduate Conference: Art and Conflict

We invite you to join us Friday and Saturday, April 4-5, in Clark Hall Room 107 for this year's International French graduate conference, "Art and Conflict." Graduate students from various UVA departments, US, and international universities will present papers* on a variety of topics connected to this year's theme. The conference is free and open to the public. Papers in both French and English.

Themes include: French identity, reception, war and memory, verbal vs. visual
Ari Blatt will present this year's keynote talk, "Construction Sights."

Please join us for a Happy Hour at the Biltmore to follow Friday's presentations, and a closing reception on Saturday in Garden VIII.
